WhedonFest Terms & Conditions

Legalities for WhedonFest:

·         A legal guardian must accompany anyone under 18. If not a custodial parent, the guardian must be responsible for the minor, and have a written permission statement from the parent, which must be presented at registration immediately upon arrival.

·         No illegal drugs will be condoned on the site.

·         This is an alcohol-free site. If you are seen with alcohol, it will be confiscated by security and poured down the drain. A second offense will result in being escorted offsite without a refund.

·         There are NO ACTUAL WEAPONS allowed on site. All prop/costume weapons must be presented, approved, and peace-bonded at registration upon your arrival. Anyone found in possession of a firearm will be escorted offsite without a refund. Anyone found in possession of a non-firearm weapon will be required to lock it in their car and a second offense will result in being escorted offsite without a refund. **”weapons” include anything security deems a threat to the safety of other attendees.

·         Personal paintball guns may be brought on site and checked with security upon arrival. The should be kept in your personal bunk space at all times except during officially scheduled paintball activities.

·         WhedonFest Security reserves the right to contact local police in the event of illegal drugs, threatening behavior, underage drinking, or anything else against the law. Keep it legal, folks.

 

WhedonFest Rules:

·         You will receive a wrist band on arrival with your name written on it (and children’s names if you are responsible for any children on site). You MUST wear this wristband on your wrist the entire weekend. If it somehow comes off, gets lost, or damaged in any way, you MUST go to the registration desk immediately so we can verify your information and issue a replacement.

·         Smoking is not allowed inside any structure on site (including the open-air cabins. Designated smoking areas will be located outdoors, away from entryways, and with appropriate cigarette butt receptacles. Please be kind to non-smokers AND the environment, lest we create our own Earth-That-Was.

·         Treat all people and all fandoms with respect. Take care of those you come with and make sure you and any children in your care are behaving responsibly. Children under 10 should be supervised at all times.

·         NO Animals Allowed. The only exception is service animals, and proof of service may be required.

·         Be responsible to the site by showing respect for the land and facilities. Keep your trash picked up, your recycling put in appropriate receptacles, and aim to leave your cabin and surrounding area cleaner than you found it.

·         Participation in scheduled paintball games will require an additional $15 per person unless you are using your own gun and paintballs. Personal paintballs may not be used with site guns, and personal guns may not be used with site paintballs. If you bring your own paintball gun, be sure you bring enough ammo to go with it.

·         Behavior that goes against these rules and/or threatens the safety or enjoyment of other attendees may result in expulsion from the event without a refund.
